As we look hopefully towards the peace process in Northern Uganda, this page has been created to gather updates, links and resources on the situation there
Updates
At the moment we just have one member in Northern Uganda, Kilama Moses of Gulu. He sent this update to the media group:
Hello, members it has been really a very long period that I could not communicate to you simply because of the work load that I had in the IDPs since then. I whould like to bring to you notice that there is need to commit ourselves and pray for the needy people living in internally displaced persons camp in Northern Region of Uganda. As members of the media group, let's inform the entire world that the brutal act which was plundering resources in the north is finally coming to an end since we have now the peace talk taking place in southern Sudan town of Juba. Once more, my experience of working with Action Against Hunger-USA has helped me realised that there is a need to now focus on the post-war development activities which shall include: Resettlement plans, modernisation of agriculture, reconciliation, activities like computer training, carpentry works, and many others. For this therefore, proposals are welcome from any member of the Never Again media group. Greetings from Gulu town and appreciations for all your support through prayers, which is a gift from Almighty God. Wish everyone nice time. thanks Kilama moses - GULU UGANDA, posted 18:42, 20 November 2006 (CET)
